Limited buses are replacing passenger trains between Newcastle Interchange, Maitland and Dungog or Scone.
Flooding incidents have occurred at Sandgate and between Maitland and Dungog/Scone.
There is no forecast for trains to resume running, NSW Trains has advised.
Passengers should allow plenty of extra travel, listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.
