Tammy Hawkins, of McGrath Newcastle City, has listed 36 Greaves Street with an auction guide of $650,000 and reported 52 groups through its first open last Saturday with early interest coming from first home buyers and investors. Period features include coloured glass windows, two ornamental fireplaces and fretwork.
The property goes under the hammer on April 10 and is open Saturday at 11am.
The fringe-city suburb is proving increasingly popular. According to Australian Property Monitors data, its median residential sale price rose from $569,000 for 28 sales in 2019 to $635,000 for 31 sales last year. It was $625,000 for 39 sales in 2018.

Movable's Anthony Merlo expects two new listings to be extremely well received for buyers looking in Merewether and Cooks Hill.
He is marketing a Torrens Title, freestanding two-bedroom villa at 24A Janet Street in Merewether with an auction guide of $780,000. It is located within walking distance of Merewether beach and ocean baths and will be open Saturday at 10am. It goes under the hammer on April 17.

John Kerr, of Dalton Partners New Lambton, listed 17 Montrose Avenue with a guide of $765,000 to $795,000 and reported 54 couples through the first inspection held in torrential rain. After multiple offers were made it is believed to have sold within the first week on the market.

Robinson Property's Mike Flook said "there is a lot to like" about a two-bedroom brick house on a block with an 18-metre wide frontage he has listed at 168 Corlette Street, The Junction with a guide of $1.25 million. It is set for auction on April 24.
Mr Flook is also marketing a contemporary four-bedroom house with ocean and city views at 18 Hickson Street, Merewether with a guide of $4.3 million as well as a three-bedroom apartment with house-like proportions in a complex of just three at 1/30 Memorial Drive, The Hill with a guide believed to be around $1.5 million.
A five-bedroom, three-bathroom house with a four-car garage and a swim spa at 1 Haig Street in Belmont has been listed by Viking Realty with a guide of $1.02 million to $1.12 million.
PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie are selling a renovated, two-bedroom house at 45 Kemp Street in The Junction with an auction guide of $1 million.

Belle Property Lake Macquarie have listed a two-storey home with four bedrooms at 6 Habebe Close, Rankin Park with a guide of $895,000 to $965,000. Belle are also selling a three-bedroom home at 19 Drydon Street, Wallsend for $495,000 to $540,000.
Movable have a two-bedroom house at 81 Roxburgh Street in Stockton for $780,000 to $820,000.
A two-bedroom terrace at 19 Alfred Street, Newcastle East has been listed by Century 21 Novocastrian with a guide of $850,000 to $930,000.

First National Newcastle City have a three-bedroom home at 213 Sandgate Road in Birmingham Gardens for $450,000 to $490,000.
