BRISBANE will exit lockdown at noon on Thursday, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed.
The change brings forward the end of the three-day lockdown, which was slated for 5pm.
Only one community case had been recorded in the past 24-hour period, who was linked to one of the two existing clusters.
"That was the perfect case, if I could describe it as that," chief health officer Dr Jeanette Young said.
"They have been in quarantine during their infectious period, so no risk at all."
Dr Young said the "astronomical" rate of testing made her confident that there was not unseen community transmission.
Ms Palaszczuk said the change in lockdown's end time was to prevent traffic jams in the evening if people rushed to travel ahead of the Easter long weekend.
She pointed to two preconditions that had been fulfilled to allow for the early exit from hard lockdown: two preconditions: high testing rates, which was met with a record turnout of more than 34,000 in the last 24-hour period, and no community transmission from the clusters that stemmed from two front-line health workers.
Restrictions will remain in place across the state as a precaution despite the change. They are due to be in force until at least April 15.

"If we all do the right thin we can get through this together."
"This has been phenomenal ... people of this state have really stepped up."
