Sangha, the 21-year-old who spent his formative years with Toronto Workers and Wallsend, hit a classy 103 against Queensland in the last-round clash at Wollongong's North Dalton Park.
Batting at No.4, the former Australian under-19 captain hit 15 fours in 202 balls.
A win by NSW in the last-round game would be enough for them to secure hosting rights for the Shield decider.
A loss could leave them in danger of being leapfrogged by Western Australia and missing out on the final.
The Blues were 6-352 approaching lunch on day two.
