All Star Mile winner Mugatoo starts from gate four and remains the group 1 favourite, paying $4 on TAB fixed odds after fields for The Championships were released on Tuesday, while Gem Song ($51) launches wider at lane 17.

Six-year-old gelding Mugatoo, the equal top weight with 56 kilograms, will again be steered by Hugh Bowman after they struck success most recently at the $5million feature at Moonee Valley on March 13.
Five-year-old gelding Gem Song, carrying 53.5kg with Jason Collett on board, was fifth last start in the group 1 George Ryder (1500m) at Rosehill less than a fortnight ago after taking out the group 3 Newmarket at Newcastle on March 5.
Fellow Newcastle trainer Paul Perry has Sky Lab and Olympic Gaze in the group 1 Australian Derby (2400m) at Randwick on Saturday.
Sky Lab ($5) was second favourite after drawing barrier six while Olympic Gaze ($101) remained an outsider despite scoring one.
