The $1.277 million auction sale on March 27 of 52 Dent Street, which was marketed by Luke Wilson of Harcourts Newcastle, broke new ground for North Lambton.
That mark was surpassed on April 14 when a four-bedroom home with a separate one-bedroom granny flat at 70 Dent Street sold for $1.28 million. The sale was off-market and reportedly came within 24 hours of being offered to a database of buyers.
Then on April 16, the Newcastle Herald believes the sale of what is regarded as a signature property eclipsed the two Dent Street results.
Tony Reville, of Robinson Property, listed 10 Erina Place with a guide of $1.35 million. It sold for an undisclosed sum rumoured to be more than $1.5 million.
The renovated four-bedroom residence featured as Review's Property of the Week on March 27.
Another suburb record is believed to have been set when Creative Property's Ross McIntosh sold a large family home at 2 Maclean Close in Cardiff for $900,000. Mr McIntosh said the property generated 92 enquiries and sold at its first inspection.
A three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment with a north-east aspect in Newcastle's Breakwater Apartments at 10/304 Wharf Road has been secured for an undisclosed sum within 24 hours on the market. Robinson Property listed it with a guide of $3.4 million to $3.6 million. It had sold last October for $3.2 million.
PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie sold a renovated three-bedroom home overlooking Centennial Park at 69 Tooke Street, Cooks Hill for $1.75 million.
