LAMBTON boss James Pascoe has no doubts that Adamstown and their coach David Rosewarne are "on the right path" after a young Rosbebud outfit forced his talent-laden Jaffas to fight hard for a 3-0 win at Adamstown Oval on Sunday.

Adamstown gave as good as they got in the opening 25 minutes before Lambton blew the game open with two goals in seven minutes by Kale Bradbery (26th) and Ben Hay (33rd).
A brittle side could have folded, but Rosebud held strong until the 89th minute when replacement Matt Berrigan chested home a Bradbery cross.
For the home side, Kyle Munns, Zaik Luck, Oliver Davies and Torren Blanch were strong.
"Adamstown are a young team, who work hard and will win their fair share of games," Pascoe said. "They are on the right path in building a good culture first. The rest comes off the back of that. They have some good boys who other clubs would certainly be interested in. I just hope they stick together and grow together."
After an even opening 25 minutes, Lambton lifted.
"I thought we were a little too safe with our football," Pascoe said. "We tried to look like Barcelona rather than who we are trying to be. We want to use our strengths, which is Kale's pace in behind and Benny Hay. If you try and have a 10 to 2 pass build up before you get there, you are normally facing a packed defence. Once we reminded them what we do well, we got some rewards at the back end of the first half."
The win moved Lambton into second place on 12 points after five rounds.
"I still think we have a lot to improve," Pascoe said. "We are going into run of games against teams, which on paper, look like being a test week in week out. We have Olympic, Magic, Charlestown and Maitland.
"I'm really happy with the mentality, really happy with the fitness levels, now it is about executing our game plan."
In the other ANZAC Day clash, Sam Walker had a day out, scoring all four goals, as Broadmeadow disposed of strugglers Valentine Phoenix at CB Sports Centre.
Walker opened Magic's account in the 16th minute with a header, lobbed the keeper from 30 metres in the 22nd, nestled a dipping shot into the right corner in the 48th and converted from the spot in the 87th.
The win propelled Magic into top spot on 13 points.
On Saturday, Rhys Copper scored the match-winner in the 88th minute as Newcastle Olympic snatched a miraculous 3-2 win over Lake Macquarie at Darling Street Oval.
The Roosters were seemingly in control after Josh Maguire (2nd minute) and debutant Tom Kowalski (13th) put the visitors ahead.
But three goals - including two own goals by the Roosters - saw Olympic secured an unlikely win.
Wicked deflections from crosses put the home side on level terms before Cooper struck with a stunning volley.
At Lisle Carr Oval, Edgeworth accounted for Charlestown Azzurri 2-0 through goals to Dylan Holz and replacement James Scott.
Coach Michael Bridges described the win as solid and had special praise for debutant Nick Curran.
"He played in midfield and was man of the match for us," Bridges said. "He is a box-to-bx midfielder, kept the ball and was at the centre of everything we did."
Tom Duggan scored the winner in the 67h minute as Weston beat Maitland 1-0 at Cooks Square Park to end the Magpies' four-game winning start to the campaign.
Cooper Sargent intercepted a Maitland pass in his own territory and in a swift counter attack Connor Heydon released Duggan who angled a low drive . Maitland keeper Lachlan Watson got a hand to the shot but couldn't stop it from nestling in the left corner.
