Fuller is one of four new members of the NSW High Performance Group, which includes Charlestown's Jye Pickin.

The squad meets twice a week, normally in Sydney.

"I had my first week last week," Fuller said. "Just to be around the boys, it makes it feel like a team environment, which is what I needed.

"We play 18 holes together each Monday and then on Fridays we do a gym session at Precision Athletica and practice at Twin Creeks Golf Course in the afternoon.

"Today we had an opportunity to learn off Andrew Dodt. We played a round with him and spent time asking questions about his experiences and picking his brain. It was awesome."

Golf NSW also assist with travel costs to play major events.

Fuller, who plays at The Vintage and works part-time in the pro-shop, has made a strong start to the year.

He progressed to the round of 32 in the NSW Amateur, won the world-ranked Concord Cup and Tasmanian Open Championships in March and made the cut at the NSW Open..

** Tom De Wit capped a big month by adding the prestigious Autumn Record at Newcastle to the A-Grade pennants title he helped secure.

De Wit carded a one-over 73 on Sunday to win the Autumn Record by two strokes from Blake Glennie and Bryce Picked. Pickin took out the handicap event with a nett 72.

Newcastle made it back-to-back pennants crowns when they beat Waratah 5-3 in the final on April 11.

Playing as the No.3, De Wit steamrolled John Georgalis 5 and 4 in his match up.

** Michael Williams, from Randwick, fired a record three-under 69 to take out the Pacific Dunes Cup on Saturday.

Williams won by four shots from Jye Pickin. Harry McMillan (Coffs Harbour) was third with a 74.

Shelly Beach B-Grader Mark Crowe had a day out, recording a nett 65 to win the handicap division. Chris Turnbull (Newcastle) was runner-up with a nett 74.

** Muree life member Frank Musgrave won his second Australian over-80s championship at Harrington last week.

Played over three rounds of nine holes, Musgrave finished at eight over to win by 14 shots.

The 84-year-old defended the title after winning in 2019. It wasn't held in 2020 due to COVID-19.

"It was a great week on one of the best courses you will ever play," Musgrave said

Asked what's next, Musgrave replied: "At my age, I'm happy to wake up tomorrow. I used to play seniors tournaments around Australia. Now I'm happy to play twice a week at Muree."

** Hannah Green blew a golden chance to win her third LPGA Tour title, messing up the last two holes to finish second by one shot behind Hyo Joo Kim at the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore.
