The Cessnock woman, who was still in bed, screamed herself hoarse when officials called her on Tuesday to confirm her lucrative victory. She was the only division one winner in NSW in Monday night's draw.
She said the winnings will go towards travelling around Australia and some shopping sprees.
IN NEWS TODAY:
"Are you sure you're not having me on? You sound exactly like my friend," she told the officials.
"I am so stunned! I have been playing these numbers for years. I never thought this would happen to me."
"I am going to do bugger all today. I am going to sit back, put my feet up and relax.
"My husband says we can celebrate by mowing the grass, but there's no way I am doing that. I want breakfast in bed, thanks."
The winning ticket was bought at Cessnock Plaza News and Gifts.
Sarah Pascoe, who owns the Keene Street outlet, said she was thrilled at the result.
"All of our customers will be so happy for us and our winner and hoping that they're next," she said.
"We haven't sold a major prize in a little while, so it's exhilarating.
"We are ecstatic for our winner and we hope it brings a smile to her face."
The winning numbers were 16, 28, 21, 32, 3 and 34. The supplementaries were 39 and 1.
The win was the only division one prize Australia-wide.
