The defending premiers and champions lost Bower to Victorian NPL club Bentleigh Greens and Cawley to work commitments in pre-season, weakening a squad already missing Jose Atayde, Keanu Moore, Ayden Brice, Shayne Van As and Mitch Hunter from last season.
Bower has returned to the Eagles, although he is sidelined with a foot injury. Cawley was back at Edgeworth training last Friday night.
The new options in attack are a boost for the Eagles, who have scored six goals in five games. They are sixth on six points in Bridges' first season at the helm.
"When I took over at the start of the year and introduced myself to the boys, I looked around that room and the quality and depth we had in there was superb, even though obviously a few had left," Bridges said.
"Then two weeks after taking the job, Cawley had to leave for work and Bower got that opportunity at Bentleigh.
"I kept the points in the window in case they changed their mind or I saw someone in the league who hadn't been playing, and I'm delighted that this week we can bring them back in."
He said Bower "could be a few more weeks away" from playing but Cawley "was looking as fit as ever". Striker Kristian Brymora, who has not played because of groin surgery, was "three to four weeks away" from playing after returning to training.
