The $3 favourite then narrowly survived a flying finish from the Michael Eberand-trained Ebby Jet Power ($4.20) to take his place in the Wentworth Park final.

Mackay-trained Aston Reward, a $6.50 chance from box eight, was third in the $10,000 qualifier.

Twelve Mile Creek trainer Betty Keene was the other big winner on the night, landing a race-to-race double featuring a $101 shot.

Crystal Moon was the rank outsider in the $5000-to-the-winner 5^th grade series final (515m) and was last until the field entered the home turn.

The My Bro Fabio bitch railed well to avoid collisions then rocketed to the lead for a 1.75-length win ahead of One Fury.

Keene won the next race, a 4^th/5^th grade 400m event, with Art Royal ($4.40).
