About 8.15pm on Saturday night emergency services were called to a home in Merriwa to reports of an accident involving an 18-month-old girl.
The girl had accidentally fallen into a fire and was treated on scene by paramedics before being transported by ambulance to Merriwa hospital.
Due to her age and the nature of her injuries, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called in and she was airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital for further treatment.
She was in a stable condition.
