The 29-year-old was officially named in the Games team on Sunday.
Turrin has moved to the men's fours for the upcoming regatta, having finished sixth in the men's pairs at Rio five years ago.
He will be alongside Alexander Purnell, Jack Hargreaves and Alexander Hill.
Purnell and Hargreaves are Olympic debutants while Hill scored a silver medal in the men's fours at the last Games in 2016.
"To be named in my second Olympic team is an honour," Hill told AOC media.
"The last 12 months has taught us to be resilient as a team and we have worked hard to ensure we're the best we can be leading into these Olympic Games.
"I'm excited to see not only what we can do as a four, but also to see what the entire Australian Olympic rowing team can do in Tokyo."
