I pay close attention to fashion, particularly men's couture, and I've stumbled upon something that could blow up like a loose can of Lynx in carry-on luggage.

I had a look at Vogue's fall-winter 2021-22 trends in men's fashion and it seems the men who inhabit the Hunter's capital are ahead of the seasonal game.
In a case of "been there, done that, and, yep, still doing it", Newcastle's males are fashion leaders.
I suspected our average Jacks and Jasons had an eye for fashion when Rihanna and one of the Kardashian kiddies started trying to flog pants that flaunted butt cleavage.
Our lads have been in to this look for decades.
This week, I realised just how fashion-forward our fellas were when I had to summon a plumber to Casa Del Richo. He had no idea how fashionable he was. That's how lightly our blokes wear their greatness.
Have a look at some of the other hot tips for the northern winter, according to Paris Vogue.
I think you'll agree that the World Fashion Organisation has drawn inspo from the streets and licensed establishments in our sprawling metropolis.
Trend one: geometric knitwear - My brother told me wistfully about a month ago that he was keen to relive the heady days (1980s) when he used to wear his jaunty geometric knit to a particular CBD nightclub. I won't name the establishment, but it rhymes with Hazy Sauce. I wouldn't be surprised if he has found his now-vintage Coogi jumper and was giving it another fashionable turn on the streets of our town. Ideally, I'd like to get some solid fashion tips from former patrons of The Wayward Sausage.
Trend two: knitted vests - People of a certain age would know this look as "The Frank Spencer". Novocastrians know it as traditional RSL daywear. It's also an ironic wardrobe staple for the hipster hampsters in these parts.
Trend three: all-season shorts - Vogue stipulates Bermuda shorts, but every style is a winner. While men don't seem to mind a chill wind racing up the leg, cold feet are not cool. Socks are worn with all autumn-winter footwear: thongs, sandals, Uggs.
Trend four: couture dressing gowns as coats - Louis Vuitton and Fendi have both unveiled couture robes that men can wear out and about. Our men about town have been wearing off-the-rack robes as daywear for years (even outside the home-office environment).
Trend five: statement T-shirts - The tees seen on Paris catwalks either bear designer names or offer health advice such as "eat your greens". Again, our gents have been walking billboards for decades. But the Hunter's male models prefer single statements, such as "Knights", "Quiksilver" and "Bunnings".
I want you all to be the first to know that I've commissioned a few hundred T-shirts that will further cement Newcastle's place as a global hub of male fashion.
The synthetic-rich tees will be sold a few sizes too small and be emblazoned with "Paris. New York. London. Newcastle."
Get one before the wannabes swoop.
They'll be all over them like a cheap suit.
