Bower rejoined the Eagles during the last window in May but is yet to play a top-grade game as he returns to full fitness.

However, that could change against Lambton Jaffas at Jack McLaughlan Oval on Sunday.

"Will Bower is looking very sharp," Bridges said "He came off the bench in reserve grade against Maitland. He got a kick too his ankle which was a good test. He is definitely in contention.

"He is a fit, lean boy and his energy levels are tremendous. The pace he gives us in the wide areas is invaluable. He knows where the back of the net is and has a decent left foot.

"It is good to have him back. He has a point to prove after everything that went on at Bentleigh Greens."

Fellow striker Kristian Brymora is also progressing well, but is about a week behind Bower.

Brymora, the competition's equal leading goal-scorer last season, has been sidelined with a groin issue.

"Kristian played in an intraclub game on Friday night," Bridges said. "He got through 45 minutes and got himself a nice headed goal.

"It has been a slow process. He has aspirations to play A-League or professionally one day and I told him to take as long as he needs. It would be selfish for me to push him and rush him back."

"He didn't have a rest for two years. He was playing NPL, then travelling to trial at various clubs. His body just didn't have a rest. He had his groins released and he needed to get a rest.

"We are putting a bit more cotton wool on him."
