Twenty-one-year-old rookie Cibilic is fifth on the overall standings and Callinan 10th with three stops left for the 2021 campaign before a decider at Lower Trestles in September.
Day one has Ciblic drawn in heat three alongside five surfers including the Wright brothers, Owen and Mikey, and 2015 title holder Adriano De Souza.
Callinan will line-up in heat two against the likes of 11-time champion and host Slater plus No.8 Conner Coffin.
Adopted Novocastrian Julian Wilson, who represented Australia at the ISA World Surfing Games in El Salvador earlier this month, won't compete in California.
WSL media reported a recent social media post from the 32-year-old.
"Heading home to gear up for the Tokyo Olympics," Wilson said.
"Feels amazing to be officially qualified and able to focus solely on the Games.
"I'm excited to put in the work for the next six weeks so I can show up and represent my country with my best."
Competition finishes on Sunday.
