The Bears have never progressed to the main draw since the inception of the national knockout competition in 2014 and sit in sixth place on the NNSW NPL ladder.
"It is a chance at history and the biggest game the club has played in a long time," Weston assistant coach Anthony Richards said. "We haven't featured in the semi-finals for a few years and are we are mid-table at the moment."
Mount Druitt and Cairns community club Edge Hill United have added their names to the list of smaller clubs which have qualified for the main draw.
"It's a cup tie, anything can happen," Richards said. "You see it all the time in Sydney and Melbourne where NPL 2 clubs get through."
Broadmeadow are FFA Cup regulars and are chasing their fifth appearance in the final 32.
They made it in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018, where they beat Canberra FC 4-1 to progress to the round 16, before succumbing to Bentleigh Greens 4-0.
"We are massive underdogs," Richards said. "Playing Magic at their ground, under lights ... most of the boys sitting on their bench would start in every team.
"They have James Virgili and Keanu Moore. You have Sam Walker in there as well, Mitch Rooke, Matt Hoole, Luke Virgili. Defensively they are rock solid. They have one of the best goalkeepers in the competition and they are coached by a guy who has won stuff. They are a fantastic side and we know we are up against it. But I think we will give them a good run."
Richards was an assistant coach at Broadmeadow last year and Magic captain Luke Virgili wasn't surprised that he claimed the underdog role for the Bears.
"That is Richo's favourite tag," Virgili said. "Typically our squad, with some good experienced boys in there, have always enjoyed the bigger games. We have generally performed pretty well. We have a good mentality in the team and it has only been strengthened by [coach] Damian Zane coming in.
"It is a one-off game to qualify for the round of 32. Both teams will be up for it. "
Magic accounted for Weston 2-0 in their round four NPL clash.
"We were competitive, but they have Sam Walker, James Virgili, Keanu Moore ... guys who score goals if given half a chance," Richards said. "That is what we did. We gave them half a chance.
"We had a few new guys and young guys join the squad back then. We have since been able to get a bit of consistency in our back four. Still we will have to be at our very, very best."
