* Three aged care residents at a northwest Sydney facility have been infected by a staff member. All three were fully vaccinated and the facility's operator says they are asymptomatic and in good spirits.
* Federal Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese nonetheless quickly seized on news of the cases, blaming the Morrison government for its failure in rolling out the vaccine program.
* Including the SummitCare, Baulkham Hills infections - a man in his 90s, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 80s - NSW recorded 16 new local cases.
* With only two cases out in the community during their infectious period and an overall dip in numbers, Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the signs were good.
* The state has now registered 277 local cases since June 16, the start of Sydney's current outbreak.
* Federal Social Services Minister Anne Ruston says the four-stage plan to steer Australia through the pandemic and back to some sort of normality hinges on the vaccination target.
* This will be predicated on medical advice and modelling by the Doherty Institute conducted over the next month or so.

* Finance Minister Simon Birmingham says there will be marked step up in availability of Pfizer vaccine from around 300,000 doses a week now to about 600,000. More increases are forecast in September.
* NSW Labor health spokesman Ryan Park says the state government should incentivise vaccination by offering additional "Dine and Discover" hospitality vouchers to those who get the jab.
* A young woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly spat on staff at a Darwin bar after refusing a request to wear a face mask in line with post-lockdown restrictions.
* Queensland recorded two new local cases and one also in hotel quarantine as residents in Brisbane and Moreton Bay enjoyed their first full day without a lockdown. One of the two local cases was confirmed late in the day and will be officially included in Monday's case numbers.
* Western Australia reported one new local case, a man who has been in quarantine since June 26 and doesn't represent any public health risk, says WA Health Minister Roger Cook.
AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:
* There have been 8,201,367 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Saturday, including +79,718 in the previous 24 hours.
* Of the total, 4,692,195 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of +33,261 in the previous 24 hours).
* 4,248,494 have been issued in primary care (+32,652) and 443,701 in aged and disability facilities (+609).
* 3,509,172 have been administered by the states and territories, including 46,457 in the previous 24 hours.
* 1,154,819 have been administered in Victoria (+12,344), 908,301 in NSW (+15,280), 611,037 in Queensland (+7829), 316,127 in Western Australia (+4639), 247,870 in South Australia (+3749), 118,018 in Tasmania (+1160), 89,802 in the ACT (+1456) and 63,198 in the NT (NA).
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Australia reported 19 local cases on Sunday: 16 in NSW, two in Queensland and one in Western Australia.
* There were four new overseas-acquired cases in hotel quarantine: two in South Australia and one each in Victoria and Queensland.
* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Cases: at least 183,404,186
* Deaths: at least 3,969,635
* Vaccine doses administered: at least 3,161,952,595.
