Renny's Diggin' has box one in race five, a 1-3 wins 515m event on the 12-race card.
Her main rival looks to be Grafton Classic Maiden winner Zipping Maserati, which has box three. The Jason Mackay-trained son of Zipping Garth had his first loss when fourth at Maitland on Monday. He struck trouble from box six as the Mason-trained Sonic Nismo raced to victory.
Renny's Diggin' won her most recent run at The Gardens over 515m, three starts ago.
"She likes the inside and she's got the cherry this week," Mason said. "She had it in her maiden first-up and ran good sections, and she's improved a bit since then. We think we're in with a big chance."
He also has Maxi Marvel, second at Maitland on Monday, from eight in the eighth.
"He looks like he wants out wide," he said. "He's been shifting off the track a bit on lid rise so we're happy to have him out there."
"But it's just about having a look at the moment.
"He has had a couple of trials there and he's gone all right, but he hasn't broken any record."
