BEACH WATCH
Surf to settle down today as swell begins to drop off. Another front coming in from the west so should see some freshening offshore winds during the morning. Direction not really suiting the beach breaks and better at reefs on fuller tides. Swell from the SSE at 1.5m decreasing to 1m. Winds tending North to N/W. High tide for the early surf and check the reefs at Cowrie, Bar Beach and Merewether. Dixon has a right of the ramp. Nobbys reef during afternoon. Burwood, Dudley and Frenchmans to the south. Samurai and One Mile up at Port Stephens. Cool current and some erosion with bigger evening high tides. Water temp 15C. - Dave Anderson
