Melbourne psych rockers The Murlocs, who are fronted by Ambrose Kenny-Smith of King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard, headline the new additions for the Lower Belford music festival scheduled for October 1 to 3.
The Murlocs recently released their fourth album Bittersweet Demons.
Other acts include Dashville favourites Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, Claire Anne Taylor and Eagle and The Wolf.
They'll be joined by Indigenous singer-songwriter Frank Yamma, pink-haired Americana artist Georgia State Line and Newcastle's own alt-country story-teller Ben Leece & The Left Of The Dial.
Rounding out the second round are Sue Ray, Jeb Cardwell & The Dream Deal, Amends, The Long Johns, Jesse Redwing, The Redlands, Michael Carpenter and the Banks Brothers, Doc Halibut, Huckleberry and the Conadilly St. Band and Katie Bates.
After postponing last year due to the pandemic, the alt-country and Americana-styled festival remains hopeful of returning and has already announced arguably the strongest line-up since its 2015 debut.
The first round included The Black Sorrows, William Crighton, Liz Stringer, Jeff Lang, Icecream Hands, Tracy McNeil & The GoodLife and Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys.
