Yasmin Catley, the state member for Swansea, said she was being contacted about COVID-19 vaccines daily, with people "blowing up" that they couldn't access it in her electorate.

"Even if they'd prefer Pfizer, they're happy to get AstraZeneca - they just want a vaccine. The community is so desperately anxious at the moment," she said.
She has joined fellow MPs Emma McBride, David Harris and David Mehan to campaign for a mass vaccination hub to be set up on the Central Coast. "We met with the local GPs alliance via Zoom and they said you can't get Pfizer on the coast until the end of September," she said.
Ms Catley said the Belmont mass vaccination hub was "fantastic". "We want another one on the Central Coast. They should be everywhere. In the Upper Hunter too," she said.
She was surprised the Belmont hub was not offering the AstraZeneca vaccine when it opened last week. Hunter New England Health has since said it will be offering it in coming weeks.
