IF the Australian gold medal-winning swimmers in Tokyo can do it, so can the Knights.

That is the approach the Knights have taken in an unprecedent four-day turnaround for the clash against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Tuesday night.
After resuscitating their NRL finals hopes with a 34-24 triumph over the Raiders on Sunday - a match postponed by 24 hours due to a snap COVID lockdown in Brisbane - the Knights have had just one field session to prepare for the Broncos.
"The boys have been very professional in terms of their recovery," Knights coach Adam O'Brien said. "Seibs (assistant coach Anthony Seibold) came up with a really good point. Look at our swimmers. They are standing on the podium and not too long after that, they are going to qualify for the next event. They have trained for four years and they don't get to enjoy it for too long. That was similar with us after the Raiders. I was really happy with the win but we moved on quickly and we are on with the next event."
Most of the focus has been on recovery - mentally as well as physically.
"We didn't overload them with a heap of video," O'Brien said. "We did a brief review Monday night, then it was all about trying to get them into ice baths and into the pool.
"We trained Wednesday morning and trained really well. We had some intensity in that training. I think that was important for us. We play better when we have a bit of steeliness to our preparation.
"We got that in but we have been smart. There will be no excuses from us. We are ready to go."
Halfback Mitchell Pearce returns after missing three weeks with a hamstring injury. Chris Randall also comes into the side at hooker.
Asked what Pearce would bring to the side, O'Brien said: "He allows everybody to be the best version of themselves. He allows KP (Ponga) to do what he does and he complements Cliff with the kicking and also our organisation and structures. Everyone is pumped to have him back.
"We have had Mitchell for five games this year. I think he has played one game with Kalyn. To get key playmakers back on the field is a shot in the arm for all of us.
"Having Junior (Pearce) and Chris Randall come in, there is some fresh blood there who aren't on a four-day turnaround - and they are in key positions in seven and nine. I could just tell by the way we trained today, Junior steering the team around with Cliff and Kalyn. It is great that we have him back."
Though happy with the win over the Raiders, O'Brien was annoyed at conceding two late tries.
"In our review we spoke about it - I was really happy with our first 10 minutes and really disappointed with the last 10 minutes. We needed to close it out. Not only the four and against, the teams who go deep into finals, that is what they do. They take control of that.
"We need to start the way we started ... but when we had it at 34-12 with 11 minutes to go, that is how it should have stayed.
"We felt that some guys took some defensive focus off their performance. That has been the message."
