NSW Health has advised the NSW Department of Education of the positive tests, Ms Catley said.
The school was closed for deep cleaning, while contact tracers were working to establish close and casual contacts.
"This has been a rough week for our residents on the Coast, but I can't stress enough how important it is to get tested," Ms Catley said on Wednesday night.
All staff and students at the school have been asked to self-isolate until they receive further advice.
The Central Coast has had eight cases in the recent COVID-19 wave. This included five cases at Budgewoi, two at The Entrance and a healthcare worker at the Central Coast Cancer Centre at Gosford Hospital.
Central Coast Health said on Wednesday that fragments of COVID-19 had been detected at the Toukley Sewage Treatment Plant.
The sample was taken on Monday at the treatment plant, which serves an area of about 29,000 people in suburbs including Budgewoi, Buff Point, Canton Beach, Halekulani, Magenta, Norah Head, Noraville, Toukley, Tuggerawong, Wyongah, Kanwal, Gorokan and Lake Haven.
NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or develops any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.
COVID-19 testing clinics on the Central Coast include Wyong Hospital [open 9am to 5pm, seven days per week]; Gosford Hospital [open 9am to 5pm, seven days per week]; Doyalson Wyee RSL Club Drive-through clinic [open 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 3pm weekends]; Kanwal Laverty Pathology Drive-through clinic [open 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am - 3pm weekends].
