Martins Creek trainer Geoff Grimwood believes a drop in grade has Zipping Annabel well placed to win a second GRNSW Middle Distance Series race (600 metres) at The Gardens on Saturday night.

Zipping Annabel won on debut for Grimwood at The Gardens last month after coming from Victoria. The Mister Twister bitch was then fourth and third, also in the $5000-to-the-winner middle distance events, behind the Jason Mackay-trained Impress Shades.
She has box five for Saturday night's assignment and Grimwood was confident she would challenge.
"We won first-up with her and then she was straight into two races against Jason Mackay's dogs, and they were just too good for her," Grimwood said.
"But she's back into a 5th grade race on Saturday so the race should suit her.
"We gave her a hit-out on Monday night and she trialled just as well as she did before her first start, so I'm expecting her to run a good race.
"I don't think the box draw worries her too much. She's pretty reliable and run a good first section, so I think she'll put herself into the race. She won from the five box in Victoria and from four here."
The 12-race card starts at 7.11pm.
