The Wildfires were this month granted approval by the Sydney Rugby Union to compete in the Shute Shield and affiliated competitions for three years.
As part of the participation agreement, clubs must employ a full-time general manager and first-grade coach.
Coleman's assistant this year, Andrew Fraser, commuted from Lennox Head and has stood down.
"The travel was too hard on Frase's family life," Scott Coleman said. "He was awesome. He drove a lot of the culture, was a big voice and led our defence."
Developing a strong colts program, including an academy in conjunction NSW Rugby, is a priority.
"Our discussions with NSW re the academy are ongoing and more robust now that we have the green light," Sutherland said. "That is something we are really committed to making happen from November."
"We would like to have a colts head coach appointed by the end of next week," Sutherland said.
"There has been a lot of interest in the position domestically and also internationally. It shows that those types of roles have always got a set of eyes on them."
Other support staff positions in all grades are also open.
