Holland, who turns 29 later this month, was a key part of the club's return to Newcastle Rugby League finals before the competition was officially abandoned last week.
"He's agreed to terms," Kidd told the Newcastle Herald.
"He hasn't put pen to paper yet, just because of COVID, but has said he'll be with us again next year.
"He was a great addition for us this year and drove a lot of what we were doing."

Having finished his 71-game stint at the Canterbury Bulldogs, Singleton product Hollard joined the Scorpions in 2021.
He scored 124 points, which featured 60 goals and one try from 16 appearances.
The right-footer kicked six or more goals in a single game on half-a-dozen occasions throughout the year.
His highest individual haul of the campaign was 16, part of a 36-22 win over Lakes at Cahill Oval on May 2.
Macquarie, who haven't made the semis since claiming the major premiership in 2017, finished the regular season in fourth spot with nine wins, six losses and most recently a draw against top-ranked Maitland.
The Scorpions had been due to meet third-placed Central in the last round with only one point between them on the ladder.
Play had been on hold since August 1 because of the state's coronavirus lockdown with hopes of resuming with a reduced finals series.
The Higgins brothers, Luke and Liam, Royce Geoffrey and Joe Woodbury have all re-signed at Macquarie.
