But although it's not possible given the current coronavirus circumstances, Long has no doubt members of all ages will be tuning in whenever tour rookie Morgan Cibilic vies for a world title.
"From a club perspective, obviously given the situation, we can't do too much," Long told the Newcastle Herald.
"It's probably an opportunity we'd love to have and if we had our way we'd be organising a club event, but that can't happen at the moment. We run from under 12s to over 55s and we'll all be watching online."

Cibilic qualified for the inaugural WSL finals after finishing his maiden season ranked fifth in the men's competition.
The event window at Californian break Lower Trestles opened on Friday (AEST), but remained on hold with conditions predicted to build over the weekend before peaking between Tuesday and Thursday.
Next call had been scheduled for Saturday (12:30am).

"He's spent a fair bit of time at Trestles this year so he's quite well versed at that break and it suits his style," Long said.
Reflecting on the "rise of Morgan" throughout 2021, Long said a combination of coach, confidence, mindset and equipment has "worked extremely well" to help "take him to that next level".
"Every time he surfs he just seems to be getting better and better," Long said.
