NEWCASTLE Courthouse and a Merewether petrol station have joined almost a dozen fresh COVID-19 exposure sites declared overnight in the Hunter.

All venues were casual contact exposures, meaning anyone who attended should seek testing and isolate until they receive a negative result.
NSW Health said it would reach out to any close contacts directly.
The courthouse's main entry area on the ground floor, its second level and court room 2.1 were exposure sites between 9.30am and noon on Friday, Hunter New England Health has warned.

Wangi Wangi Bakehouse was added as an exposure between 11.35am and 11.40am on Sunday September 5, as well as Chemist Warehouse Mayfield from 12.45pm to 1.05pm on Saturday September 11.
The list also includes IGA Wangi Wangi between 1.30pm and 1.45pm on Friday, Office Works Warners Bay from 4.30pm to 5pm on Wednesday September 8, Diggers Bottle Shop at Hamilton South from 1.40pm to 1.45pm on Friday and Newcastle Central Plaza from 6.45pm Wednesday September 8 until 10.50am the following day.
Petquarters at Taylors Beach was also an exposure site from 10.20am to 10.45am on Sunday, while the risk at 7-Eleven Heatherbrae was between 10pm and 10.05pm on Wednesday September 8.
Woolworths Toronto was added to the list for a window between 5.20pm and 6.25pm on Saturday, September 11, while Merewether's Coles Express petrol station is listed as an exposure site from 8pm to 9pm on Friday, September 10.
