Australian Bloodstock director Luke Murrell has two more horses arriving from overseas for this year's spring carnival and it comes as one of the syndicate's Melbourne Cup chances fell by the way side.

Murrell said Irish imports Acquitted and Top Rank will likely target $1 million features The Hunter and The Gong respectively after landing in coming weeks.
They are set to be trained separately by Newcastle's Kris Lees and Warwick Farm's Annabel Neasham ahead of their November assignments.

"We've got a couple of nice ones coming over soon for the Sydney spring carnival. I'm really looking forward to that and they'll be group 1 horses here," Murrell told the Newcastle Herald.
Four-year-old gelding Acquitted has two wins and four placings from 11 career starts. Murrell said five-year-old Top Rank, which has saluted in half of his 12 runs, may also look at the group 2 Villiers Stakes at Randwick in December.
Melbourne Cup connection Rodrigo Diaz, recently fourth in the group 2 Doncaster Stakes in England, will no longer represent Australian Bloodstock at Flemington on the first Tuesday in November.
"He's not coming now unfortunately," Murrell said.
French horse Gold Trip, mainly aiming for the Cox Plate, has been weighted equal fourth at 57 kilograms.
Murrell also said he expected Mo's Crown to be officially announced in The Kosciuszko field next week.
