Ray White Newcastle and Lake Macquarie's Teresa Heighington reported 28 bidders registered for the online auction of 19 Henry Street on September 9.
The three-bedroom, one-bathroom house was on 632 square metres of land.
"There were lots of young buyers for this property and in the end it was a Central Coast family that bought the home," Ms Heighington said.
"We would've had over 100 inspections and they were all private inspections. Belmont is one of those little secrets, although now the secret is out with those prices.
"We started guiding around the mid $600,000s. We got multiple offers right through the campaign that showed us that that was the guide. Our best offer pre-auction was $690,000."
The $763,500 is a street record result, according to CoreLogic data.
"The market is still super hot," Ms Heighington said.
"Eighty per cent of my buyers are Sydney. They're certainly here. They're active and they're very aggressive in buying and don't hold back."
Ms Heighington said buyers had been receptive to online auctions.
"The auction online is certainly comfortable for everybody, and it does work," she said.
"We held that on a Thursday evening. Being online, you don't have to do them Saturdays anymore. We're finding they're doing quite well on a Wednesday or Thursday at 4.30pm."
First National Newcastle City reported two strong auction results from September 14. Both are believed to have sold well above their reserves.
A three-bedroom, double-fronted cottage at 29 William Street in Mayfield attracted 19 registered bidders and sold under the hammer for $850,000. According to CoreLogic data, it last sold in July of last year for $588,800.
A five-bedroom house on 1009 square metres of land at 9 Woden Close in Cardiff Heights was secured at auction for $878,000.
On Saturday, Robinson Property's Mike Flook takes 1 & 2/16 Lockyer Street, Merewether to auction with a guide of $1.15 million to $1.25 million at midday.
The property features a weatherboard home configured as two two-bedroom units on a 723 square metre block.
