Doors will stay shut at Glendore Public School and Cardiff Public School until at least Tuesday as contact tracing and deep cleaning get underway.
Waratah West Public School principal Nicola Moroney confirmed in a statement to parents that the school would be open on Monday despite an exposure declared on the weekend.
"NSW Health have promptly assessed the situation and advised that there is no requirement to cease school operations," Ms Moroney said.
The Hunter schools were among six statewide that were forced to shut on Monday.
