French Faves

The team at the French patisserie and bakery at Nine Ways in Broadmeadow has created three show-stopping Christmas desserts. The Xmas berry and lemon entremet log - set in a mould that spells 'Xmas' - is made with a fine almond cake base with raspberries, strawberry and raspberry mousse and a raspberry jelly and lemon cream centre, finished with a shiny red mirror icing. It's gluten-free and serves 10 ($78). Two other entremet logs are available, the first combining vanilla, pear and salted caramel, white mirror icing and roasted pecan nuts ($68); or chocolate tropical with light milk chocolate mousse, mango puree centre, hazelnut brownie cake base and dark chocolate mirror icing decorated with snowflakes ($68). frenchfaves.com.au
