Akers, who starred on TV's The Block and hails from Wangi Wangi, will perform a festive set at the popular lakeside event which returns after a COVID cancellation last year.
Hit106.9FM's Nick, Jess and Ducko will host the carols, and other performers include former Hi-5 performer Tim Harding, former The Voice contestant Kylie Jane, RnB singer Komiti and veteran local singer Terrance Wakewood.
The new Multi-Arts Pavilion (MAP) mima will incorporate second stage, hosting local musicians Chloe Gill, Honey Duo and Matt Cross. Santa will also make an appearance, flying in by seaplane for a 7pm visit.
Lake Macquarie City Council manager arts, culture and tourism Jacqui Hemsley said the size of the park meant the event could run at normal capacity. Guests need to be vaccinated and check in.
"It's so exciting to be hosting events in Lake Mac once again," Ms Hemsley said.
"Carols by Candlelight at Speers Point Park is a festive tradition for families right across the Hunter region, and we're looking forward to a fantastic evening of fun and entertainment."
The new Lake Mac Ferry will run from Belmont and Toronto to Speers Point return. The evening will also include Homegrown Markets and food trucks.
Council will host its IncludingYOU tent - a place for people with sensory needs to enjoy the event. It will include noise-cancelling headphones, sensory toys and weighted blankets for use free of charge.
The event runs 3-9pm.
