A man from the Hunter was among the six people who died with COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 4pm on Sunday, the region's health authority says.

The Hunter New England region recorded 2158 new cases of the virus during the latest reporting period, down from 2388 the previous day.
There were two deaths of people with COVID-19 in the health district - a man aged in his 70s from Maitland and a man in his 80s from the Glen Innes Severn local government area.
There are 75 people with the virus in Hunter New England hospitals, including seven patients who are receiving intensive care.
NSW recorded 15,572 new cases during the 24-hour period.
There are 1418 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state - 56 of those are in intensive care units.
