The Hunter New England local health district has again topped the daily COVID-19 new case number rankings, with 1306 positive results in the 24 hours to 4pm on Monday.

Hunter New England Health said it would no longer issue a daily social media update as of Wednesday, but a breakdown of new cases according to health district would continue to be published on the NSW Health website.
The latest figures show Hunter New England was the state's local health district with the highest number of fresh cases for the latest reporting period, ahead of the Northern Sydney and Western Sydney districts.
There are 80 people with COVID-19 in Hunter New England hospitals, including five in intensive care.
The number of active cases across the state is 162,693 - with NSW recording 9849 new positive test results in the 24 hours to 4pm on Monday.
There are 1695 people in NSW hospitals, including 67 in ICU - 22 of those require ventilation.
