Beam e-scooters will return to the streets of Bunbury following a successful trial last year that made Bunbury the first city in Western Australia to utilise the scooters. The e-scooters, which will soon be available for use from Dolphin Discovery Centre, Jetty Baths, Bunbury Regional Art Gallery and along Ocean Drive, will provide a fun, affordable and environmentally friendly way for the community to visit the city's attractions and businesses. Bunbury residents will be able to use their own devices via an app to use the e-scooters, which uses pay-as-you-go rates. Bunbury mayor Jaysen Miguel said the e-scooters were a great way to visit Bunbury's attractions. "It's fantastic to have Beam's e-scooters return to Bunbury, providing a fun and affordable transport option for our community and visitors," mayor Miguel said. "The service creates a real buzz around Bunbury, and I look forward to the e-scooters returning for summer." Beam has also launched its Beam Booster program, which allows businesses to register and be promoted through the app with virtual parking spots and other opportunities. Beam general manager Tom Cooper said the program was now open for local Bunbury businesses via the Beam website. "We look forward to partnering with locally owned businesses this summer."
