The crowd sang along to songs including Watching the Detectives, Alison and Everyday I Write the Book.
It was an exciting return for Costello, who performed with his band The Imposters.
Born Declan McManus, Costello previously played at A Day On The Green at Bimbadgen Estate in 2004.

The Australian post-punk band left the crowd wanting more when they finished their set with the 1981 hit Alone with You.
Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, Tex Perkins and The Dark Horses, and Stephen Cummings were also on the bill.
