COMMISSIONER Margaret Cunneen has lifted non-publication orders on evidence given about gay pornography relating to investigations into serial paedophile Jim Fletcher.
The commission had previously heard whistleblowing police officer Peter Fox say he still believed pornography found at the Lochinvar presbytery may have been Fletcher's, even though another priest, Father Des Harrigan, had claimed ownership of it.
Father Harrigan gave evidence to the commission about the subject last week, and Commissioner Cunneen lifted a non-publication order over his evidence yesterday.
She did this after a former police officer, Jason Robbs, gave evidence yesterday, saying he had "some" recall of visiting the Raymond Terrace presbytery in December 2003 to interview Father Harrigan with Mr Fox.
Mr Robbs said Mr Harrigan had confirmed the "adult male" pornography was his and not Fletcher's.
Father Harrigan had also confirmed the pornography was his when he gave evidence on Friday, July 26, and that it was a matter that caused him great embarrassment and shame.
