The 71-year-old actor, comedian and voice-over artist is due at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on February 22 to present new show High Horse.
Recent reviews from the show’s UK run say the Glaswegian is sharper than ever, turning ‘‘everyday life experiences into stunningly funny situations’’.
This tour may be the last time the comedy veteran can venture to Australia, after he revealed earlier this year he was in remission for prostate cancer and had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which is slowly progressing, and hearing loss.
The show will also take in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and the Gold Coast after kicking off in Geelong.
Billy Connolly plays Newcastle Entertainment Centre on February 22. Tickets through Ticketek on Thursday, October 23.
