Winner: Newcastle's Catherine Britt scored a big win at the CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia in Tamworth for her album, Boneshaker.

Newcastle country star Catherine Britt scooped up at the recent Australian Country Music Awards in Tamworth. Britt – who has been receiving treatment for breast cancer – took out Female Artist of the Year for Boneshaker. Meanwhile, the Central Coast’s Adam Eckersley Band took home Group or Duo of the Year. Also on the Central Coast, Shane Nicholson took home Alternative Country Album of the Year.
