Now, less than a year after releasing their first track, they’re getting ready to open Newcastle’s third This That music festival.
“It was so random because we didn’t even apply, we just had our stuff on the [Triple J] website,” Anna said after the win. “There was a moment where we had to figure out if we could actually do it because we hadn’t made any plans for that day.”
The duo, who have already had air-time on Triple J, will perform live together for the very first time at the festival.
“It will be a really special moment for us because we’ve never, ever played this music live and to do it like this will be amazing,” Anna said.
“We’re just going to enjoy it, and it’ll definitely be a pretty awesome memory.”
Luunes will open the festival on the This stage on Saturday, November 4.
