COMATOSE RETURN Anyone who caught US bluegrass band The Brothers Comatose at the 2016 Dashville Skyline won’t forget their raucous energy. The Californian lads are headed back and have booked a show at the Flow Bar in Old Bar on March 18. Definitely worth a road trip.
STAYING ALIVE Two-thirds of The Bee Gees might have passed on to rock’n’roll heaven, but their iconic music lives on. If you want to feel the Saturday night fever it’ll be worth catching the Australian Bee Gees Show at Belmont 16s on April 28.
AUSTRALIA DAY HERO Pop icon and long-time Lake Macquarie resident John Paul Young will perform at a Sydney Opera House showcase to celebrate Australia Day on January 26. The show will boast a strong Novocastrian flavour as Newcastle product John Foreman is the musical director and ex-Dudley resident Marcia Hines is also performing.
GET SWAMPED For those who enjoy their blues nice and dirty you should check out at The Swamp Stompers at the Stag and Hunter Hotel on February 3. The South Coast three-piece are touring with fellow blues-rockers Dane Overton and the Joy Williams Band for the Drain The Swamp summer tour.
