THE Ashes may well have been run and won over summer, but Australia and England are still going head-to-head on the cricket field.
Now, it’s the veterans turn with over-70 teams from both nations currently on tour and University of Newcastle professor John Fryer part of the five-match series.
Fryer, not for the first time, will line-up for the Australians as they host the UK squad at Geelong’s Kardinia Park on Thursday, Brisbane this Sunday and followed by two more games in Queensland next week.
The opening fixture took place at Adelaide’s Railway Oval on the weekend.
