CAN someone please explain to me how the NSW EPA can screw over the good people of Stockton in regard to removal of waste from an exposed rubbish tip, yet continue to do nothing about PFAS contamination at Williamtown? It appears that if you live on that side of Stockton Bridge, it’s out of sight out of mind!

A container terminal at the Port of Newcastle handling 1 million TEU containers a year between 2023 and 2063 requires the NSW Government paying the Port Botany lessee, NSW Ports, $6 billion. NSW Ports paid $5.1 billion for a 99-year lease in 2013. I believe this arrangement was kept secret because it could not be justified. The arrangement is a tax on northern NSW business and consumers, who pay higher costs to have their goods shipped through Port Botany.
