NAIDOC Week runs from July 8 to 15, and Westfield Kotara is hosting some traditional community activities. Speaking In Colour allows children to take part in weaving and leaf painting activities, learning about Aboriginal art appreciation. July 14 and 15, 10am to 2pm. Harry Harthog will also be offering a NAIDOC-themed kid’s creative writing competition, which can be entered in-store.
Also, there will be a Jurassic World Craft Village in the centre with animatronic dinosaurs, and a Dino Craft Zone on July 21 and 22, 11am to 2pm, in partnership with Australian Geographic. A pop-up Touch A Truck zone will run from 10am to 2pm daily, July 9 to 20.
