A heritage building in Hunter Street is set for auction next month with Development Application approval for residential living to be added on top.
The Dangar building at 176 Hunter Street is positioned on a corner site adjacent to the East End redevelopment of the Hunter Street mall.
It is being marketed by Colliers International’s Adam Leacy and is set for auction on August 9.
The property is a mixed-use four storey commercial building. The DA approval includes the addition of two storeys and change of use to mixed-use development comprising retail, commercial, residential and a small bar.
The fourth and fifth floor will incorporate a double-storey penthouse apartment.
“It’s a building whereby in its current form it's a commercial building that someone can buy to occupy or invest and/or develop out the DA, which also adds value, so it’s going to appeal to a mixture of buyers,” Mr Leacy said.
“In terms of price interest we’re going to be guided by the buyers because it’s got so many alternatives.”
