The sites range in size from 94 square metres to 448 square metres of net lettable area and each has its own outdoor area.
PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie’s Allan Kentwell is marketing the properties at the former BP service station site on the corner of The Esplanade and King Street.
He said the sites offered retailers and businesses the rare opportunity to secure premises in a prime lakeside location.
“There are many businesses which would benefit from this impressive location such as cafés, retail shops or professional services providers,” Mr Kentwell said.
“Most lots have excellent outdoor areas to allow customers and staff to take in uninterrupted lake views.
“Construction of the DA approved development is about to commence which, importantly, brings greater certainty for buyers.
“Businesses looking to position themselves in brand new premises, in the most prestigious building in East Lake Macquarie, will need to act quickly as interest is already very strong.”
Water’s Edge will comprise 112 apartments, a gym, infinity pool and entertaining area and construction on the BLOC development is expected to be finished in 2020. Mr Kenwell said it would set a “benchmark for development in the suburb”.
Potential in Hunter Street
A two-title property in Newcastle West is being offered for sale with a “well-advanced” concept plan for a mixed use development.
The site at 809-815 Hunter Street is being marketed by Jason Morris, of Raine and Horne Commercial, for $1.8 million. It comprises five residential flats and four commercial shops and a net holding income of around $50,000 per annum.
Mr Morris is also marketing the neighbouring property and said the two sites combined would give approximately 2003 square metres of land for possible development.
First time lease offer in 20 years
The relocation of business AJ Edden from a “first-class position” on Maitland Road in Mayfield West has opened up a lease opportunity for the site for the first time in two decades.
