Curzon Road in New Lambton is well-regarded as one of the city’s most prestigious and prized pockets and this near-new, modern residence is expected to raise the ceiling in terms of property prices there.
Lisa Macklin, of Dalton Partners, is selling 54 Curzon Road through expressions of interest and has not disclosed a price guide for what she has described as a “once in a lifetime” property.
The highest sale in the sought-after road has been $1.8 million in January for No.64 but she expected this residence “will set a precedence for the street”.
“That location is one of, if not the best street in Newcastle,” Ms Macklin said, adding the home’s space and design were “outstanding”.
The owners, who did not wish to be named, bought the property nine years ago and have since created a modern masterpiece.
They wanted a new home that made a statement and from the road the split-level home has a commanding presence.

“We wanted a modern look, modern facilities and modern technology and also something unique for the street,” one of the owners, who has a background in construction said.
It enjoys an elevated position overlooking the city and an extensive use of glass brings the light and outdoors in.
The luxurious home’s feature is a three-storey atrium as you walk in.
There is a self-contained guest room on ground level plus another bedroom or home office. The main level is devoted to a state-of-the-art kitchen and living spaces.
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on another level and the top floor has a parents retreat with ensuite and walk-in robe. There is also outdoor entertaining and an in-ground pool.
Inspections are by appointment only.
