Mike Flook, of Robinson Property, marketed the luxurious four-bedroom home at 40 Kilgour Avenue and said there was good interest, mainly local, for the "once in a lifetime opportunity".
A price was not disclosed but given the position of the beachfront property, in a tightly held, exclusive pocket overlooking Bar Beach, and other sales in the area, it is believed the result could be a benchmark for 2019.

Striking design in Belmont South
Speaking of stunning outlooks, a brand new home with never-to-be-built-out lake views at Belmont South is sure to capture plenty of attention due to its unique design as well as outlook.
Global Property's Shaun Elms has listed a three-bedroom residence at 2c Paley Crescent which is triangular in shape.
Designed by Manly-based Buck and Simple and constructed by Newcastle-based Evolve Co Architectural Builders, it is being marketed as "striking a bold presence" in the Belmont South streetscape.
"It’s been built really smartly for the site," Mr Elms said. "It's a really great use of space and the orientation is perfect with the lake across the road."
The land was part of three titles which was once a boat yard. The home has a guide of $1.19 million to $1.29 million and is open for inspection at 9am on Saturday.
EASY CITY ACCESS
It is considered towards the top of the Islington market but offers "affordable inner city living", according to Dalton Partners' Anthony Merlo, who is selling a seven-year-old house at 20 Anderton Street for $848,500.
Location, close to Hamilton train station and vibrant cafes, appealed to Rae Pidgeon and her partner when they bought a vacant block with rear-lane access and built their ideal retirement house.
Key design features were single-level, open plan living, modern finishes, a double garage with workshop and enclosed, all-weather alfresco area.
It is open at 12.30pm on Saturday.
Vineyard listed
Offers are expected around $3 million for a 100-acre Rothbury property which has an established vineyard, restaurant and cellar door.
James Rodrick, of Starr Partners, is marketing 136 Talga Road, which also has Development Application approval for a home site with "breathtaking views".
It is the first time the property has been listed for sale since owner Luigi established the vineyard around 17 years ago and Lillino's Bar and Trattoria in 2011.
Agent move
The Agency has continued expanding its reach into regional New South Wales with former Robinson Property agent Cveta Kolarovski leading a new office in Newcastle.

Dudley double
Being set on a double block in Dudley is a point of difference for a four-bedroom home at 6 Frederick Street, according to McKiernan Real Estate's Andrew McKiernan.
He said while the majority of blocks in the sleepy, seaside suburb were around 300 square metres in size, this one is 607.
The home was renovated around five years ago and overlooks a large pool. It has a guide of $1 million to $1.1 million and is open at noon on Saturday.
